Orinda

Framed by rolling, oak-covered hills, Orinda is located just 18 miles east of San Francisco.  The population was estimated to be 20,000 in 2019. The city is adjacent to Lafayette and Moraga – forming the “La-Mor-inda” area.

In 2012, Orinda was classified as the second most friendly town in America by Forbes Magazine.  Home to many suburban professionals who commute to work, the location provides a rustic feel just minutes from big-city activity. Orinda has its own special activity, however. An annual film festival takes place at the historic Orinda Theatre. Also, the internationally known California Shakespeare Theater performs from June to October at the Bruns Memorial Amphitheater in Orinda.
